Most of the grain and food is being sold overseas because they get more money for it there. Those governments buy up and stock pile the food and sometimes let it rot until if their people do not pay the prices they demand. Also some guy in S. America is buying up all the slaughter houses in the US and is bringing in beef from their country to sell. Those beef are diseased and chuck full of chemicals and hormones, again, just for the money! I wouldn't do abortion, I would regulate those in the food industry and get people to become more self sufficient! not because we are over populated, it is because people got greedy. The problem is, we're a capitalistic free trade society that seeks individual profit above all else. If we produced all our own goods and services, we'd be less likely to feel the effects of global price changes and unchecked global demand. But hey, that's an economic issue, and would be better addressed there.
